The Italian Society of Urology (SIU) was founded in 1908, then re-founded in 1921. Parallel to the creation of the Society, specialist hospital departments were founded and, with greater difficulty, university chairs were established.
At the moment, urology is one of the most rapidly developing areas of medicine. In the diagnosis and treatment of urological diseases, new technologies are becoming available, which until recently could seem like something from the realm of fantasy. The pace of development set by the management in recent years allows ROU to constantly keep abreast of the pulse, big plans for the future are outlined.
The French Association of Urology in Teaching is an amalgamation of law 1901 created in 1989, which brings together an intern, clinical supervisor and urological assistant. In 2018, AFUF had about 501 members (internal and CCA)

The European Society for Sexual Medicine means Education and Science in Sexual Medicine. In the last years, we have established several educational programs and developed criteria for certification in Sexual Medicine and Sexology.
