The IPPS was established in 1996to educate health care professionals how to manage pelvic pain, thereby changing the lives of patients worldwide. We are a growing group of physicians, physical therapists, and mental health specialists committed to improving the management of pelvic pain syndromes through education, research, and providing the highest quality of evidence-based care.
The Italian Society of Urology (SIU) was founded in 1908, then re-founded in 1921. Parallel to the creation of the Society, specialist hospital departments were founded and, with greater difficulty, university chairs were established.
Over the past 20 years, the UAA has gained international recognition of its modest achievements with the support of all its members and the executive committee. It looks forward to more important tasks ahead to achieve its objective of bringing better urological care to patients in Asia.

The International Society for Sexual Medicine (ISSM, formerly known as ISIR/ISSIR) was established in 1978 for the purpose of promoting research and exchange of knowledge for the clinical entity “impotence” throughout the international scientific community. The principal orientation of ISSM was initially towards basic science of erection, defects in the erectile mechanism, and the clinical aspects of diagnosis and treatment of erectile dysfunction. The orientation is now towards the whole field of human sexuality.

The European Society for Sexual Medicine means Education and Science in Sexual Medicine. In the last years, we have established several educational programs and developed criteria for certification in Sexual Medicine and Sexology.
